It takes a bit of effort to learn the differences in how some things work if you are coming to it with a bunch of experience with Photoshop or something. But through using it for all my Lemmy shitposts, I have become rather comfortable with it! I am excited for the upcoming GIMP 3.0 release “”“Soon™”“”
The bulk of my experience stems from a combination of using the proprietary Android Gallery software and the free version of Sketchbook. If it’s worthwhile to use on mobile, as that’s where I produce most of my work, then I’ll give it a go. Thanks for the info.
GIMP does not officially support Android/iOS. There seem to be some third-party “wrappers” or whatever to get it working on mobile, but it is apparently always an awful experience. Just stick with what you are using now on mobile!
