Lemmy is still small enough that even the most obscure communities will show up on the All feed, which it seems is how a lot of people browse. If you post to your small community, especially during non peak hours, some people will see it.

War is terrifying. I think accidents, including friendly fire, are just as much part of the horrors as facing an enemy. It’s sad to think about how young these kids were, and it helps me put the challenges of my life into perspective.

I’m sure you’re aware of Doohan’s WWII injury (missing finger on his right hand). They were pretty good about hiding it in most scenes, but it always shows up on the TOS trivia pages when an episode has a scene that shows it.

Yep! It’s a running theme in Trek that humanity doesn’t resolve our differences by ignoring them or by ostracizing people we disagree with. Messy, but respectful coexistence is better than homogeneity.

This exactly. Call out the action, policy, comments, but not broad generalizations inherent to people’s existence. Like, “I think what politician X from Georgia said the other day echoes fascism.” is fair game, but “Georgians are fascist.” is not.
