Still, I know he is a good man and he would do anything for a family member or friend, which makes what he has done even more infuriating and even more painful.

On Nov. 7, I saw my husband’s post was still up. It had more comments from Americans I believe had made a huge mistake two days earlier.

“I saw that you didn’t take your post down, and that breaks my heart.” Then I walked out the door — devastated but determined — into the blue of a new day.

Hon, you say he would do anything for family? But he couldn’t even take down a post. It’s time to start accepting that your mental image of him is not the same person who is in reality.

Books, not just reading but long form text. If someone doesn’t want listen, then they won’t even if they pretend otherwise.

So if a talented author puts out a message, the reader has to continually choosing to read, intake and process what is being communicated. It’s easy to tune out of conversation, videos or lectures without realizing it. But if you make it to the end of the page and don’t know what just happened, it’s entirely at your discretion to go back and reprocess. Infinitely repeatable while requiring constant buy-in without the concept of just waiting out the duration while thinking of other things. To my mind, if you want to understand a complex idea than books are easily the best method.

These are the same people mad at “woke” games for not having white charcters. Their enormous amount of privliage has made them utterly blind to history or context.

Humans have to eat and with the exception of a few minerals like salt, everything edible to humans is alive on some level. Vegansisn is making an ethical choice about reducing what causes the most pain fear and suffering in another. If I were to develop cancer, a tape worm or a virus should I also allow those living things to thrive as well or does “Uh, now what?” also apply to antibiotics?

Which is totally understandable and justifiable, even if there was no sensitive info on this particular call. Zero tolerance is the reasonable stance, not trying to criticize the firing. Just sorta curious why anyone would bother to record and post it in the first place. Like, wtf were they even thinking?

I mean it’s a genocide, not a war. And Harris absolutely has not said she would cease arming Isreal, she is less outspoken than Biden but there is no indication she would end anything.

But Trump gave gift after gift to Isareal the first time and has said he would send more armaments. He without question would make things worse so Harris is the only sane ethical choice.

I agree it’s a simple choice but we need to be realistic that Harris isn’t some peace panacea.

My partner is very tuned in to politics and watches Hasan near daily, reads news, talks with me and her friends but casually mentioned she would be voting for Stein instead of Harris. I very quickly pulled up the Putin dinner party pic and a handful of articles explaining the various connections. It all totally flabbergasted her and she decided on Harris despite her, very legitimate, reservations over genocide. Realistically we’re in a very blue state that will safely go Harris so it wouldn’t matter, but I’m certain other people will still fall into the same trap.

It’s not hard to find a common thread in all Middle Eastern countries…

Most Christians are peaceful, but if an outside country destabilized the US democratic and republican party then placed the KKK in power, their version of Christianity would be what America lives under. Exactly as it happened in various middile eastern countries.

The Iranian revolution (where fundamentalist Islam / Sharia took over the country) was a direct fallout from the Shah, (the US puppet dictator) losing power after exploiting his country for US interests (cheap oil) for nearly four decades. He died in exile while everyone in Iran accused each other of being secretly western puppets and then naturally the religious traditionalist were above these accusations.

This isn’t a conspiracy theroy or anything, it’s all extremely on the record but so few Americans know or give a shit. Simmiliar story everywhere in the region. Religious fundamentalist extremism wasn’t the norm for the longest time until US intervention.
