It turns little black worms into scent a pedes
Maybe a slight tangent, but it drives me insane when I see/hear people do the following in scripted or written content.
The normal, very casual sentence structure could be “Chocolate cake, which I am quite partial to…” but they will flip it around, which is usually fine, but they do it in a way that doesn’t make sense with the words used. They’ll do something like “Chocolate cake, of which I am quite partial to”. (Where the correct rearrangement would be “to which I am quite partial”)
I know its nitpicky because I can still perfectly understand their meaning, but it feels like people do it because they want to sound smarter. And that’s fine! I just wish they’d go that tiny step further and learn how to properly use that method of sentence rearrangement! Drives me nuts.
That is all.
I can’t recommend enough that you read the sequel too! There’s even more but I haven’t read them yet. Its all just so good and cozy and yum.
I can never stop recommending The Long Way To A Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers.
Its some of the most beautiful, cozy writing I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading, all wrapped in queer and race allegory and science fiction splendour.
Please read it.
Nothing wrong with calling out evil wherever it is
The dog speaks italian? Impressive
Looking at your post history, you make a tonne of posts but don’t engage with the comments seemingly at all. That isn’t in the spirit of this sort of platform.
Cool can they give up on blockchain games now?
I’m angry that it is still seen as “political” to believe that people who aren’t cisgender or heterosexual or white or male deserve to have rights and their needs met just as much as anyone else.
Who the fuck is Steve Jobs
I mean, it is now.

I also recommended zero dawn, it is masterful storytelling honestly.
I don’t know if any of these have native Linux versions all I know is that I played them on steamdeck with no issues:
Beacon Pines has a fucking great story and I loved it so much.
Horizon: Zero Dawn has a really cool thing going on where you’re experiencing a fully compelling story unfolding in the present day, but you’re also gathering up data logs and recordings that allow a story from the distant past to reveal itself at the same time. One of my favourite storytelling experiences in gaming.
Night in the Woods was just a joy. Made me miss friends and memories that I never had.
Citizen Sleeper is basically a fully fledged science fiction novel with gameplay elements attached. It takes inspiration from the excellent Wayfarer series by Becky Chambers and holy shit its just. Mm! Its cozy, its thrilling, it is beautiful, its lonely, its warm and welcoming. It has some similar elements to Disco Elysium’s gameplay.
To The Moon has the wonderful voice of Laura Shigihara on the soundtrack, and a story which brought me surprises and to the point of painful, beautiful, big girl tears.
Exit/Corners is actually a free flash game but don’t write it off. It’s an incredibly well crafted cast of characters and a story which will keep you on the edge of your seat. I wish I could go back and play it again for the first time.
No specific habit but I was really bad for routine stuff like getting my hair cut or going to the dentist for a checkup. i figured out that my problem was remembering (or, having the social energy when I do remember) to make these appointments.
I started just making the following appointment when I attend the current appointment. It takes all the work out of it, and I’ve been able to keep up a much more structured and healthy life since I started.
All my fellow neurodivergents who experience executive dysfunction, take note!
Moths are awesome, there’s no “Alas” about them!

Definitely seek professional support for your own feelings.
In the meantime however, are you doing what you can to support her through this? She’s, understandably, totally at capacity right now just trying to survive her own shit. Its possible that if you’re able to ease her burden, she might have enough mental capacity to recognise you and spend some of her mental energy on you. Or, worst case, she just suffers less.
