I also run on Linux exclusively and I could play Half-Life Alex almost flawlessy on the Steam Index. And other VR games as well, including Beatsaber, Gorn, Walkabout Golf and many others. I’m really grateful to Valve and their Proton.

Kind of ironic that the people joined facebook groups for that…
Ha yeah, thats accurate enough. I had some cool tracker software that could even render some discolights flashing to the music. Great way to enjoy electronice music before MP3’s where a thing. Especially since you needed about three disks per song to transfer them :p
Mod files played with tracker software. They were awesome at the time (and still are).
Try sunglasses? But maybe other souls can still be saved from evil…
Disadvantage: you’re now using a browser from the biggest spy ad-ware company and killed web heterogeneity.
Add Microsoft to that first list. Many people are way too locked into their crappy software ecosystem.
Apparently not for Europe
Thanks for that little riddle, managed to solve it (with the hint) during my morning coffee.
I bit the bullet and bought the Jetbrains Ultimate bundle because I develop in lots of different languages. It includes WebStorm and it is a joy to use. It helps where necessary and doesn’t get in my way…
I build my machine about 8 years ago and it is time for a new one. I use it mainly for coding and research but I do like the occasional game (even VR). I try to max out specs so the PC lasts a long time.
For a moment I thought you literally meant a penguin herder, I would be so happy…
Not parent, but; Enterprise is one of my favorites. Some things that I really like about it:
These are the things I can think of right now, but I really enjoyed it over all (of course with its ups and downs per episode).
You could try the book… The movie is quite tame compared to the book though. It sketches a very detailed look into the time as well. Iirc there are about five pages in wich Bateman explains why he loves certain music albums. And of course his whole morning routine… I really liked it.
That is correct. There is both and Ing and Ir title that are Engineer. Ir for masters and Ing for higher education.
See Titels voeren.
Same for the Netherlands.
Ha no problem. They’re fond memories so it is fun to revisit and talk about :)
It was unbelievable cool, but not in a temperature way. It was a bit chilly but not that bad since it was summer. That also means no sundown so it was just a bit less light. We dug a hole in the snow to keep from the wind and with some thick sleeping bags in a waterproof bag it was quite comfy and warm.
You are very far from any real civilization (no cellphone or anything) and that is completely refreshing. You just lay there listening to remote avalanches and the ocean, haven’t slept as good as there. Untill after a short night I woke up from snow drifting into my nose and it was time to go before the weather changed.
Afterwards we took a swim in 4°C ocean water… That also sure was something :)
Edit: I’ve written a small journal with some pictures on my blog if you’re interested…
As I mentioned in another comment it plays quite well. At least with the Steam Index that I use. Most games seem to work out of the box. One thing that isn’t currently implemented is BT communication with the lighthouses which is a bit annoying but there are other apps and tools to workaround that.
