6 months agoDepends, some of the government apps are actually pretty well done and you don’t want to end up with an unofficial ID card app that steals your identity. The German Ausweis App is a good example of a well done gov app.

I’m not talking about Nouveau. I’m talking about the Open Source drivers from Nvidia. They released them a while ago and they’ve gotten pretty good lately.
Yes Nvidia is still a shitty company like every other. But their open source drivers run pretty well by now.
There are more OS’ on PC then Windows and Linux. So they should really just say PCs running UEFI. Any PC running a different firmware like core boot or libreboot is not affected. Apple devices are not vulnerable because they don’t use UEFI. Apple doesn’t do the U(nified) bit and built their own EFI.
