I used to use it but have switched to using the first letter of each word in a phrase with some numbers and special characters thrown in. It’s not as much typing and I can still get 128 bits of entropy and I can just as easily memorize it.

I distro hop occasionally but always find myself coming back to popos. There are so many quality of life improvements that seem small but make all the difference.
One of my biggest frustrations with Linux. You are right. If I have something that works out of the box on windows but requires hours of research on Linux to get working correctly, it’s not an incentive to learn the complexities of Linux, it’s an incentive to ditch it. I’m a hobbyist when it comes to Linux but I also have work to do. I can’t be constantly ducking around with the OS when I have things to build.
Refresh OS feature in popos has been a game changer for me
Might be a solicitation for bribes from Congress. He’s made his message clear that he wants more money and Congress certainly has the power to grant that. I don’t think it would stop him from screwing over minorities tho.
I really don’t get some of these comments. I’ve been using popos on and off since it came out. I would check out gnome extensions to see if anything sticks out to you as being useful for your use case. I would also go into your settings and update your recovery partition. This is also the place to refresh your PC if you need in the future which has been a must-have for me.
tar -cvzf /etc/
Edit: we’re dead :(
I’m at that point as well I think. Thank you for the suggestion!
Considering the general types that actually use lemmy, you’re on the wrong platform for that kind of community. No offense
Google search has enshittified far faster than I ever thought possible. It used to work like magic. Too bad capitalism dictates that usefulness has a ceiling.
Blew my mind when I figured out how to do this knot. Felt like I had magic in my fingertips after doing the bunny ear method for such a long time.
If I dual boot windows, I tend to disconnect my Linux drive any time I do anything on the Windows side. Even installing Windows fresh using default settings, it managed to completely erase my Linux disk to put the Windows bootloader on it even though I selected a completely different disk for the Windows OS. Won’t be making that mistake again. And by mistake I mean dual booting Windows. That pile of spaghetti code gets a VM.
Thank you for limiting the spread of freedom units. I wish my country would just get over itself and switch already.
EU might hit them for it. I have no faith that the US government is going to do anything.
The tech sector just hit a major correction recently. Wall Street found companies like Google to be overvalued and as such their stocks suffered. This is Google trying to claw back some of that value. See step 3 in the enshittification process. This isn’t just Google. It’s the entire tech sector.
