Ive never paid for subscription on pandora. The ad version isnt that bad, but I also dont listen to it for more than an hour at a time. I would say on average I get 5 -15 second ads an hour.

Pandora. I remember when it was a “music experiment”
Yea pretty mess up, your tax dollars pay for the data that weather apps use for free, then some of those apps charge you lol. It was a big issue when the Hawaiian fires happened.
Isn’t it illegal for the NWS to make an weather app because of lobbyist?
Paid streaming services that have ads in the UI (youtubetv). Amazon firesticks having ads on the UI. I actually complained to YTTV and they sent me an email explaining why there are commercial on live TV, pissed me off even more.
Social media ;) /s
Thats fine. This just fuels developers to make more efficient ad blockers. Youtube wont win the long game and the more they try stuff like this, the more people find out about ublock and other adblockers.
Go touch grass = just dont think about how the world is going to shit. lol great advice everyone

Ugh scientific papers behind a paywall. Those publishers are the worst, mainly because any respectable researcher will give you access to their papers for free. Just have to go around the publisher.
You guys are killing it in the responses. I have sooo many options now.
I didnt even know that was possible. What are legal implications when doing this?
I had a MTV Road Rules page on angelfire. Its still there, but the HTML is embarrassing. (this was when frames were becoming popular on sites. 1999ish)
I think there alot of lurkers in this sub (myself included) who are in the same position you were in 6 months ago. Thank you for showing us the first steps. This might be the kick I needed to start getting serious about privacy.
What if you have one arm?
Not as drastic as some of these comments, but I used to be pulled over once a month when I had long hair and a beard. I had a 45 minute commute everyday and like clockwork, once a month I would get pulled over for a bs reason (speeding by 5mph, flashing highs to warn other drivers, suspicious vehicle etc). Once I cut my hair, no more problems, go figure.
