Naw, it made some kinda sense for a while but the writers really jumped the shark in the past decade.

I’ll save you a click, the game was ArcheAge and the article doesn’t go into detail about their dispute, but does mention that they flew from Newark NJ to Jacksonville FL to try and attack em.
Outta the 3 mentioned, I gotta pick ketchup, but if we’re talking favorite sauces or condiments, gotta give it out to toum. The incredible garlic taste in a spread is to die for and works wonders on everything from veggies to steaks to chicken to bread. Seriously, try making a grilled cheese but 86’ing butter and subbing toum. Fuck, that’s amazing.
Shout out to kewpie mayo, tho, the condiment I use irresponsibly on so many things it doesn’t belong…
Must be related to them bringing the pandas back to the D.C. zoo
Hey Googoo, I ain’t gonna watch YouTube if it got ads
That curse has been rattling around in my head a lot these days…
Well said points and also thank you for your responses.
Thank you for adding context the article didn’t bother to.
FWIW I agree there’s a vile association that Zionism has created by claiming itself so intrinsically part of Judaism, one rife with hypocrisy and catalysts for undue hatred against Jews. That said, it’s difficult to see people’s homes targeted by protests like this with the rise of the Neo-Nazi right as it is in America. Its easy to get one’s hackles up. Personally, I’m not sure I agree with the tactics due to the optics, but I also don’t think it’s really my place to critique the methods of the oppressed against the oppressors. Though, I think these sorts of tactics make more sense in Israel and Palestine than in NYC and perhaps there are more fitting targets who have more impact on US policy towards Israel, but I also understand that those people may be far more difficult to reach and the consequences for trying far more dire.
I’m not sure we read the same article.
I think the quoted people were saying that throwing paint and writing slogans on the homes of Jews is antisemitism.
Lemme be clear and say what Israel is doing in Gaza is abhorrent.
I’m not seeing how defacing the homes of 5 people in NYC just because they’re Jewish stops the genocide of the Palestinians or helps them in any way.
What connection do 5 Jewish board members at the Brooklyn Museum have to what’s going on in Gaza?
The Pope and the Church aren’t friendly to the LGBT community?
Color me shocked!
How thorough of an understanding do you want?
One could read Wikipedia pages on the broad strokes of these topics and have a fairly functional definition of both to get on with their daily lives. Or one could take a more academic approach and read Marx and Smith along with other philosophers and economists.
Part of the issue with both methods is that the meaning of Communism and Capitalism seem to change depending who you’re talking to and in what context. They are both such contentious topics that there’s a great deal of propaganda, misinformation, common misunderstanding and willful ignorance around them.
So, are you hoping to engage in debate (or moreoften argument) about the merits of one or another? Or just hoping to gain enough understanding that you aren’t confused when the topics come up in casual conversation? I’d advise against the former. It’s exhausting and seems unproductive. At least online. In person, it makes more sense, but you’ll have a hard time finding people who are opening to considering changing their opinion on either system. If it’s the latter, you can really just make stuff up, it seems like most others do anyway.
These are rich people crimes.
Generally only the poor go to prison, unless the rich person committing the crimes has committed them against people far richer than them.
In terms of Trump’s charges, something like only 10% of people with similar convictions go to jail. So it seems unlikely, but it is possible.
I’m guessing the polling method asks if you’re more likely or less likely to vote for Trump if he’s convicted then later asks your affiliation. The article goes on to say something like 44% of democrats were less likely to vote for Trump post conviction. Were they likely to vote for Trump to begin with?
Vodka and sushi! What a combo! Where’d y’all get the idea for that?
I had a lot of family gatherings with vodka and pickles where we’d eat fish later, but never sushi. I’m not saying it’s a bad pairing or anything, just an unexpected and unheardof one to me

I similarly remember lots of pizza and chip snacks with soda in my youth, but these days it’s often hummus and crudite and beer or wine. Though the DM has asked us to wait until the session feels half over before uncorking the wine…
We functionally switched to stuff that won’t muck up sheets or dice. Also, as a group in our 30’s and 40’s, more people have various dietary concerns, so veggies and bean dips help solve a lot of that.
The DM and I love to cook, so sometimes we’ll make themed dinners. Roasted, spiced mushrooms and asparagus and a kale salad for when we stayed with the druids, beer, bread and root veg for a Dwarven section of the campaign, grilled fish (that I caught earlier that day) when we started at a port village, that kinda thing.
This review was written like 2 years before the first ep of Enterprise aired, right?
Oh my God to be in a situation where a $.70 charge at the hospital feels egregious I fucking wish. I have insurance and I had to pay a doctor hundreds for them to tell me the tendinitis in my wrist was caused by the two cigarettes I smoked at a party a month and a half ago. I hate it here y’all
