3·3 months agoI was referring to both to say you can get similar functionality on Sync, but Flipboard has its own charm.
6·3 months agoI mean, this is legit. They’re saying people use memes to sway public thought and behavior. It’s also how fascism has risen and been taken out, we just didn’t have the internet and call them memes then.
Behind the Bastards did a good episode on the use of comedy with imagery to bolster or destroy. I couldn’t find the exact episode for the life of me though. At least 5 years ago probably.
It’s fancy. Sync for Lemmy really lets you customize things, but I do like the default Flipoard flip actions, font sizes, layout. You can make custom groupings of content you want to view. I forget what the branded term is, but it’s like you can make your own magazine and flip through it.
If you have to ask, you can’t afford it.

2·3 months agoThanks for doing this! FFVII was my first RPG ever. I remember playing it day in and out. We would have family over for holidays, it didn’t matter. I was glued to the TV. Aerith’s death made me cry as a young boy. I was devastated. They killed a main character, a love interest. It blew my mind.
Been obsessed with FFVII and the final fantasy series ever since. Nobody Uematsu is an amazing musician. So much depth added.
The story is great, character development is fun… I just haven’t gotten around to picking this up and playing it because life gets in the way and my home constantly needs repairs… would be nice to pick up and relive things in 2024.
Anyways, I’m hoping to be picked for Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade.
