Divide 1 by 3: 1÷3=0.3333…
Multiply the result by 3 reverting the operation: 0.3333… x 3 = 0.9999… or just 1
0.9999… = 1

I did not mean to justify Israel’s actions by pointing out Hamas’s attack.
I agree that Israel has the sole power to stop this conflict. Every day they refuse to do some sort of ceasefire deal is a slaughter caused by Israel alone.
Netanyahu is likely prolonging the war due to political pressure and IMO should be considered a terrorist as well
As another comment noted. If Hamas had more firepower they would use more firepower.
They are not morally Superior to Israel.
Hamas started a conflict with an obviously more powerful military. They knew there would be consequences but they still chose violence over diplomacy. Obviously diplomacy in the middle east is terrible but I would never think that attacking civilians is a viable alternative to diplomacy.
The history of Palestine is super messy. All sides have committed terrible acts to the other, coming back hundreds of years. Each side can always look at recent history and claim X has provoked Y or Y has caused a disaster on X.
You can claim this was a provoked attack. I for once can hardly justify an attack on civilians. You can argue, Israel has done worse in the past, and while each side is biased, perhaps you’d be right.
My point is. This is an endless discussion
Both sides are bad. IMO the best outcome at the moment is to stop the conflict as soon as possible
Man what a terrible choice of words.
By your standards I could provide a counter argument like: Has any Israeli launched an unprovoked attack on Palestinians and kidnapped 300 of them?
And then I sit on my biased moral throne and feel the meaningless superiority of my argument
Reality is not black and white. Both sides are bad
Hamas launched a horrible slaughter of civilians. they knew it would have consequences. The IDF would obviously retaliate but they are using too much force and causing extreme suffering
This war should stop as soon as possible. There is nothing to gain in prolonging this conflict
An icon represents what the people think it represents.
An icon can also have different meanings to different people. It’s ok if you don’t like it. But I don’t think it’s fair to say that the majority of people that use or share Pepe are from one specific ideological group
They have a regular spicy ramen, which is more spicy than what most people can take, and then there’s 2x, double the amount of chilly from the regular one. And the 3x you can guess what it is.
I’ve had the 2x before and it’s uncomfortably hot but my criticism is that the overall taste of this brand of ramen is not that great.
Oh, what did they name it?
They’re both terrible people. But I guess the internet likes the story because it’s a rare case of “attractive woman pays the consequences”
We rarely see famous people, let alone famous women get punished for their terrible behavior.
But yeah, I’m sure all this attention does not help a person going through a difficult emotional experience
Archeology does not build infrastructure to make people’s lives easier but neither does any form of entertainment like Cinema, Music, Theater, Museums and others.
Medicine law and engineering are wonderful jobs, and necessary to live. But Art, History, Philosophy and Music are things we live for
It’s fine if you’re not a fan of it, but it’s quite childish to think certain things are of less value because you personally don’t like it.
So your suggestion is that we ignore 34 guilty veredicts?
Well in a way the US will ignore it. A twice impeached 34 times guilty ex-president is still allowed to walk on the street and even run for president again.
Yeah, the penal system in the US and quite frankly it’s whole constitution are a joke
Oh yeah? I have a model train behind my back, what model is it?
That’s the point though. It doesn’t matter when time travel is invented, only if it can be invented.
If time travel is possible even 10 000 years in the future someone would almost certainly show up at Hawking’s party since they have a time machine.
The fact that no one showed up it’s a reasonable argument that time travel is impossible
This kind of sad romantization of physical phenomena is weird to me.
I think romanticizing physical phenomena can be a really great tool to create a narrative and get people interested in the subject, or can just be a cool talking point about physics.
This example is pointless and kinda sad
If a photon from the sun misses the earth it will likely travel for billions of years into the void, most of them probably absorbed by random space dust. So hitting earth or hitting a human could be considered cool depending how you sell the narrative.
It’s possible to tell many different narratives. I just dislike the sad ones. There are many more cool ones
Pascal’s wager argues that if there are 2 different and non provable outcomes to a belief, you should believe the one that has better consequences for you.
In this case there are no divine consequences of being destroyed and reassembled in another location.
This is probably more of a ship of Theseus question.
I would miss Google maps too.
I’d love a cool gimmicky phone that flips open or whatever, and has a small screen or a really bad frame rate. Just to discourage me using YouTube and social media.
I just don’t know what I would use to navigate around
Thanks for the correction. I was blinded by my hatred for Brenda. I was sure I was off by a lot but I couldn’t bother looking it up at the time
Then he turned himself into a pickle
Funniest thing I’ve ever seen
Sure, physicists can just keep track of about 5% of the universe’s mass. That’s their whole job, and they just got 5%!? Are they stupid??
Who are you to complain Brenda?! The only thing you keep track of is the amount of Oreos you have in the pantry
5% of the universe is still several trillions of tons of mass! Although I suppose a good part of that is your fat ass!
The context doesn’t make a difference
In base 10 --> 1/3 is 0.333…
In base 12 --> 1/3 is 0.4
But they’re both the same number.
Base 10 simply is not capable of displaying it in a concise format. We could say that this is a notation issue. No notation is perfect. Base 10 has some confusing implications
