I’d suggest a stand mixer, but even those have gone down hill, even brands like kitchenaid have gotten worse.

Maybe some old pyrex, if you can find some. The new stuff is bad, can’t recommend that.

I am absolutely unsure, and think any information I have about it comes from like 20 years ago. Is it that old? I thought it was pretty old. I remember a news report about it, like on the TV proper. The screensaver was like…little bars of color coming towards the camera, continuously going forward until it filled up and restarted. The spike bars were meant to be like…the data from outerspace. If there was a tall bar, it could be anomalous!

I have an extremely shitty memory, so this is exactly all the information I have.

I hadn’t thought about it being a coping mechanism for the child, the ‘fairy’ ‘rescuing’ the rabbit when it was just everything got burned anyways. I like the interpretation! Now I’m sad!

Huh, I was told a story of my father in law having the same thing happen to him, but luckily for them it only burned the electronics that were plugged into the antenna, and one tv that was too close to a radio that also got screwed up. Never got to meet the man though, unfortunately.

He can get married. To another “adult disabled since childhood” which I’m not. Otherwise he loses ssdi and medicare/medicaid. I’d have to support him yes, which I can’t right now.

Something similar happened to my husband about 20 years ago. He has ssdi, and can only work a certain amount of hours a month. He tried one month to see if he could do full time work. Nope, impossible.

And so gets kicked off ssdi, and had to fight to get back on it. And they charged him for being on it…by deducting the money he now ‘owed’ them from the new ssdi. It was stupid.

The laws in place are also why my husband is husband in name only. If we ever actually got married, goodbye everything keeping him alive! It sucks.

Haven’t had it with coffee, but sometimes when ordering food in the summer it’ll come smelling strongly of coppertone because we live near the shore.

Soda or another liquid that is bad for me. For food, I was generally in charge of food so if I made food, it was themed! I have the Song of Ice and Fire cookbook, and when we played that system I made food from there.

I’m so happy there is a chickenpox vaccine! I was at the edge of that, getting it before it was available. It was hell.

It was more hell for my mother who had never gotten chickenpox as a child. So had it as an adult. Agony! And have to deal with sick twins!

God I love Wildermyth, it’s a fun game. I’m saving to get the roguelite expansion. Or is it roguelike? I get them mixed up.

I can only smell them if there’s a number of them, but ‘cleaning solution’ like one said works for the scent. I also have the ‘cilantro tastes like soap’ gene, so maybe they’re connected.

We certainly weren’t expecting it to be delivered in person! Amazingly the letter also covered the next year if he had had to go back to the hospital (I think in case there were complications, which insect bites generally don’t have, but this was meant to cover a lot in case)

Most hospitals will remove the cost entirely if you are uninsured and make under a certain amount.

Example. My husband recently (…okay, 2 years ago, but the passage of time hurts) had to go to the hospital, and be admitted for, an infected insect bite. No cost on admittance. Had to stay a few days to be on ivs.

Over the course of the next few months we get the bills. Which we can’t pay. But we have the number for the part of the hospital that can lower the costs.

We give them all the information, then wait.

One day a lady drives up to our place, hands my husband a piece of paper saying he owes the hospital nothing, then leaves. It was surreal.

I suppose the anti cat gate. Got it because new kitten wasn’t getting along with adult cat. Kitten continued to not get along despite doing everything and asking the vet for more advice.

Kitten is with my mother and her cats and he gets along with both of them.

The anti cat gate stands there, expensively.
