I was thinking the same thing. Kinda wish the conveyer belts would just fling them off into oblivion or something for me.

But at least the formulas and constants appear to be correct
You must be new. This is America we are talking about.
Who could possibly be motivated to do such a thing??? Hmmmm
Who was ever turning to Keanu for scientific knowledge? Lost him? We never had him! Chill dude, entertaining actor, but absolutely wrong person for science.
Depends on the exam. Some don’t even allow programmable calcs because they don’t want to deal with possible shit like this. I have already seen a certification exam where they provide the calculators as well.
I’ve had to provide my transcript for several job applications. Government ones seem to usually ask.
Yeah that JD Vance look. Smoke show!
Recent discussions tell me I better put the old /s in here…
We are talking about lawmakers making this demand. They don’t have a fucking clue what the difference is between all these possibilities.
Yeah wearing scrubs was traditionally meant as clothing you could easily get rid of if you got bodily fluids on yourself. They are cheap, thin material, and originally had colors meant to make it easy to identify blood if they became contaminated (although that part is not really adhered to in my experience). They are not, and never were, intended for sterility. Sterile clothing is donned and doffed within the OR or relevant treatment room. If scrubs are contaminated or used for PPE purposes they must be left at the facility and the employer is responsible for washing or disposal (by US regulations). However many people in medical facilities wear them as a uniform instead, including administrators, general caretakers, and even custodial services depending on the location. The important thing is the intent, and by most modern standards PPE which would get contaminated is worn over the scrubs.
Hell I went to the eye doctor the other day and everyone in that place was in scrubs. I dunno who would be squirting eye fluid all over them so I assume they all arrived and leave in those scrubs.
Quick! Everyone change your name on LinkedIn and populate the info with some really stupid bullshit. I deleted mine years ago but I’m considering signing back up as Sir Farty McLovefarts who mysteriously looks very similar to Leon Musk.
Now this is some boomer humor
Alright so if I was the leader of a country and looking at my enemy country’s election I would consider saying I support someone who I don’t want to be in office so that people vote for the person I do like. But then again maybe I would know that people would know that so I would choose to support the opposite person instead. But then I think to myself “they probably know that I would know that they know I know what they know. And knowing is half the battle.” And realize G I Joe might just fuck himself up regardless of who I pick so I just choose a side and laugh about it because it doesn’t matter who I choose, only that I’m saying something to fuck with that entire country.
G.I. JOOOOOOEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Looks like Florida DEP, so you are right, I had the wrong agency. That still seems like a place that should have protections against retaliation. Crazy shit, I hope someone gives this guy a better job for standing up for what’s right.
Are EPA employees not protected from retaliation? There are tons of laws protecting employees from retaliation for reporting things to agencies like the EPA, DEP, OSHA, etc. Seems really weird the people in those offices wouldnt have the same protections
Well I play video games, and woo boy, let me tell you about microtransactions, crap DLC content, season passes, never ending early access, unfinished releases, and anti cheat root-kits! If you’re on console you pay a premium to play online, if you’re on PC you have 18 different game launchers and DRM bullshit. Digital only stuff means you don’t own your games, cant loan them or trade them or sell them. I’m sure there’s more, and admittedly there’s good with the bad. Graphics have come a long way, and some rare innovations are fun to see. I still have fun with it, but wow it is a fucked up landscape full of way more land mines than it used to be.
I get that - and that’s a fine choice. I suppose my point is that I view Google the company, the entire entity, as the enemy of privacy. Therefore, I want nothing to do with them if at all possible, on any level.
I will admit it’s depressingly difficult, the whole reason I’m looking at this is because my old iPhone is nearly dead and I’ve been wanting to get away from them for awhile too. It feels like I’m looking at American politics. Both major parties suck for different reasons but anyone else looks like roadkill by comparison.
¯\(ツ)/¯
Every excuse in the world to keep using products brought to us by the enemy of privacy. This is why there are so few options.
And yes, that’s part of my concern. Even if others don’t notice, I still know. I still would be a hypocrite, railing on google for their bullshit, and then still using their products.
I’m not really judging anyone for buying a Pixel and taking the easy way out. Trying to maintain privacy with tech is a major pain in the ass, it gets tiresome quickly. But holy shit, people in this privacy community sure are quick to rail on me for trying to avoid the largest offender in privacy invasion.
I’m literally in the process of trying to find one.
I’ve got the Ikea version of these and they work great, no coaxing at all. Way easier than that stupid pull cord, I would never go back. Put them up all over the house. One of them went slightly crooked and I never did figure out why or how to fix it though. I think I will eventually get some higher quality replacements anyway.
